1. how far to take learning skills before training other skills ? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You can get into a cruiser with 0 points in learning skills. If you really want a certain skill, train for it. Anything is better than flying around in an Ibis for two weeks while you learn to learn. I got all mine to 3, trained a few other skill...

Yeah, I chose Dateis because I don't like the Achura look too. Try a Civire Merc out, can get 12 perc 10 Wil with okayish Int. Play around with character creator. STI Newbie Extraordinaire!

Well, you can always go for the cookie cutter Achura Monk. They have minimum Cha with well balanced Perc and Int. Drop some extra points into Perc and you will be golden. STI Newbie Extraordinaire!

Perc and Will seem a bit low but not worryingly so. Bung in some lv1 implants if you feel the need and don't worry too much about it. STI Newbie Extraordinaire!

I wouldn't mix ranges on your ammo, it's far better to have your optimals all roughly the same. I find uranium charges give a good balance between power and range. Antimatter is great and all but I just don't like how it cripples my railgun range...
